In the industrial outskirts of Caserta, the complex intended for coral processing is characterized by strong environmental features, a tree-lined oasis: rainwater recovery, reuse of the soil of the excavations, large trees, soil permeability, natural ventilation, gardens, sun chimneys.
The great staircase is a shell, with a large part of the perimeter defined by a tufa wall behind which you can see the foliage of the trees inside. At a height of 20 meters on the inner square, a web of steel cables connected to the pylons of the elevators, supports a wind instrument: a system of projectors from below illuminates the sound box that reflects the light in the large central courtyard.
